STRATCOMMWORLD 2020
MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

By Robert Grupp

Dear Colleagues,

Like the rest of the world, our team organizing StratCommWorld has been living pretty much one day at a time, taking cues from those on the front lines of the global pandemic and its economic fallout.

Now, we have learned that the National Press Club is suspending its operations through at least May 16, 2020, and likely longer. This means we must postpone StratCommWorld and reschedule the conference in Spring 2021.

Even if Washington, D.C. and the venue were to reopen by June 1,  it’s not reasonable to expect that speakers and attendees will be able to travel or fly and attend a large live meeting in Washington, D.C. as soon as on June 1-2.

These turbulent times remind us of the importance of community. We miss connections in all areas of our lives, now more than ever. This also reflects what past attendees have said about StratCommWorld: They value human connections they make by participating during our in-person conference each year.

We are grateful for the many expressions of support that we have received, and we appreciate your friendship and loyalty for this 11-year-old annual event. I am glad to have a clearer path forward, and we intend for StratCommWorld 2021 to better than ever! Stay tuned to this website for updates.

Meanwhile, I hope you, your families and your colleagues remain healthy and safe.

Warm Regards,

Robert Grupp
StratCommWorld Conference Director
